In Full Swing
Although rain pushed back the start of construction by a week, it is now in full swing. Construction crews have almost completed removals for Phase 1 and have poured the sidewalk up against the buildings. Colored concrete is now starting to be installed and additional curbs and bump outs will follow. Phase 2 removals (ie: streetlights and pavement) will start at either the end of this week or the first part of next week.
What does this mean for you?
It's important that the public is aware and mindful of the construction work being done when they head downtown. Drivers and pedestrians need to follow constructions signs and use the correct intersections for crossing the streets.
Look for frequent construction updates on the project website going forward. If you would like to be notified via email when an update has been posted, be sure to subscribe at www.dtvermillionstockwell.com/blog.
